Course Reserve Policy

Course Reserves General Policies and Guidelines:

  • Reserves are designed to be short-term, two-hour loans for use within the ECC Library only. For longer-term textbook loans it is recommended to be managed by the faculty members Division office or individual classroom.
  • Course Reserves are mostly donated materials given to the ECC Library from faculty for a specific course.
  • Course Reserves items are maintained until requested to be removed by faculty or deemed irrelevant due to superseded editions. Periodic audits are conducted to ensure relevancy of current Reserve materials and are returned back to faculty or Division offices if deemed outdated.
  • Reserve materials often receive a great deal of wear and tear. The ECC Library will take precautions to ensure the safety of materials, but cannot be responsible for lost, damaged, or unreturned items.
