El Camino College Archive Mission and Purpose

The El Camino College Archive collects, preserves and makes accessible the papers, records, photographs and media that document the history and mission of the College. The ECC Archive collects relevant resources pertaining to the history and operation of our institution. The physical archive houses documents that include past board meeting minutes, historical photographs/films, student media, catalogs, ephemera, and related content.

Donating Material to the ECC Archive

If you are a faculty or staff member at El Camino College and believe the material in your office documents the administrative, academic, or social history of the College, then you may want to consider donating your material. Gifts are accepted with the understanding that, upon signing the Gift in Kind form, they become the property of El Camino College. The ECC Archive reserves the right to make all necessary decisions as to the use, retention, and disposal of donated items. El Camino cannot maintain separate named collections and donor restrictions cannot be honored.

Please contact our Archives Specialist, Carla Cain, if you'd like to talk to us about your material: ccain@elcamino.edu
