The purpose of this exhibit is to help ECC artists, musicians, crafters, dancers, and more share their art with the whole ECC campus and gain exposure!
You can submit any form of art, including pictures of crafts, zines, still photos from dance performances, visual media, etc as long as it can either hang on our gallery wall or fit in a glass case.
Step 1: Send a picture of the piece you'd like to display to Camila Jenkin, Outreach Librarian at cjenkin@elcamino.edu. We will try our best to accept all art as long as it fits the values of El Camino College.
Step 2: You'll receive an email with further instructions if your art is approved!
Requirements:
- Include with your art an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper telling your audience about yourself and your art. You can design this any way you'd like. You can include "contact me to purchase" information if you'd like!
- We'll take multiple pieces if there's room.
- Art has to be your own original work.
- Include your social media handles if applicable.
- Art has to fit either on the wall or in a glass case.
- Your art needs to be able to either:
- Be framed so it can hang from art rail.
- Be able to hang from command strips.
- Fit in a glass case.
- We'd prefer prints over originals if possible! We'd advise against bringing extremely valuable or irreplaceable pieces.
- All art accepted has to align with the values of El Camino College.
FYIs
- Etsy shops, Soundcloud artists, YouTube creators, etc are welcome to participate! The same as above goes, find a way to portray your shop/profile visually and include an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper with all the information your audience needs to know.
- Authors and writers are welcome to participate! Just submit a print of your book cover or something similar.
- If your art isn't in a visual medium, just find a way to portray it visually and we'd love your participation! For example: still images from a dance performance, image of yourself playing an instrument, etc.
