The system that academic libraries use to organize their content is called "Library of Congress (LoC). Because it's a system that has been around for a while, you'll likely see some outdated terms in the "Subject Heading" area when you search. Librarians everywhere are working really hard to get many of these terms changed! For example, the Subject term Sexual and Gender Minorities is one you'll see, and not the ideal way we want to describe people. Just know that there's a lot of activism behind the scenes to change terms like this at the national level.
