Check out these local and national online resources for members of the LGBTQ+ community.

The South Bay LGBTQ Center, which is located less than half a mile south of the El Camino College campus, offers a wide variety of programs and activity groups for community members of all ages, including social and support groups, book clubs, and game nights.

Out and Equal Workplace Advocates provides resources and events to give you support on being out in the workplace. From their website: "Out & Equal is the premier organization working exclusively on LGBTQ workplace equality. Through our worldwide programs, Fortune 500 partnerships and our annual Workplace Summit conference, we help LGBTQ people thrive and support organizations creating a culture of belonging for all."

Transgender Job Bank: Employment Resources for the LGBT Community

Whether you are a trans man, a trans woman, genderqueer, bigender, pangender, genderfluid, or agender, the Transgender Job Bank believes that you should still be able to work indiscriminately in our society just like everyone else. This helpful site searches the LGBT friendly job postings of progressive employers and makes them available in a single convenient location. 

The ECC Career Center

The El Camino College Career Center is an excellent source of career resources and job search information for students who identify as LGBTQ+. Because the campus is currently closed to students and visitors, Career Counseling Services are now available in a virtual environment. The Career Center staff can support you in a variety of ways, including:

• Assist you in decision making when you're feeling stuck or still exploring majors and careers.
• Review your resume with a focus on your transferable skills and provide feedback to increase your opportunities toward current and future employment.
• Prepare you for interviews through strategies reviews and mock interviews that will help you make the best possible first impression.
• Discuss other career-related topics and issues including job sustainability, salary negotiation, and career advancement opportunities.
