Library e-resources can be accessed from off campus for the El Camino community.
Although the ECC Library would like to offer open access to all information resources, license agreements with the publishers of our online databases, e-journals, and e-books require that only current ECC students, faculty, and staff be given access to these resources.
When using the databases and other e-resources from off campus, users will prompted to authenticate with their standard ECC username (email) and password. Once the requested information is entered, they will be able to use the databases, e-journals, and e-books just as if they were on campus.
If you encounter any problems accessing our e-resources, please contact the library and we will work to promptly resolve the issue.
Help us help your students succeed! The El Camino College Library cultivates dynamic student-centered learning environments designed to foster student success. We create access to quality resources and instruct students in research skills that extend learning, enhance critical thinking, and inspire intellectual discovery.
This guide highlights the Library’s collections and services to help support you and your students. Visit the pages on the left-hand navigation of this guide to get more detailed information on e-resources, research support and library instruction.
As you develop your class consider the volume of supplemental materials available through the ECC Library, as well as materials freely accessible with an open-use license (e.g. public domain & OER). Any of these resources can be used to complement your lectures, class discussions, or research material for course assignments.
Visit the Library's Database A-Z Directory to browse for e-resources by subject area, type, vendor or alphabetically.
Complete the Resource Recommendation Form to submit your library collection requests. Please note that all requests will be reviewed to ensure they adhere to the Library's collection development policies and are dependent on available budget.
